ICOA was created to fill this gap -- the world's first competition where students learn to work WITH AI and defend AGAINST AI.

## Competition Format: AI4CTF x CTF4AI

### Day 1 -- AI4CTF (AI-Assisted Cybersecurity)
Students solve classic cybersecurity CTF challenges WITH AI assistance.
- 5-hour jeopardy-style competition
- AI provided via competition API gateway with token limits
- Domains: Web Security, Cryptography, Reverse Engineering, Digital Forensics, Binary Exploitation
- Personal AI tools and external AI access are prohibited
- Tests human-AI collaboration skills

### Day 2 -- CTF4AI (AI Security -- THE WORLD'S FIRST)
Students attack, defend, and evaluate AI systems themselves.
- 5-hour dedicated AI Security track
- Domains:
  - Prompt Injection & LLM Security
  - Adversarial Machine Learning
  - Deepfake & Synthetic Media Detection
  - AI Red-Teaming & Evaluation
- This track has NEVER existed at any international olympiad before ICOA
